Listen and choose the meaning
Listen first. Reading pinyin before listening is just cheating with better typography.

排队排到怀疑人生
pái duì pái dào huái yí rén shēng
The line is so long I am questioning life.
Why this works: Train the whole expression as one usable chunk. Daily Mandarin is built from short lines you can actually say, not isolated vocabulary scraps. For listening questions, force your ear to lead before pinyin starts doing all the work.
Common trap: New learners often read first and listen second. That feels safer, but it trains your eyes more than your ear. Daily expressions are chunks; breaking them into dictionary pieces makes them sound less natural.
